Rick's Texture Ripper

Rick's Texture Ripper (RTR) is a desktop tool for ripping flat textures out of photos and packing them into a texture atlas. Select a region in a photo, correct its perspective, and the result drops into a single atlas image you can export.

Newer builds land first on GitHub Releases, so check there if the version on this page looks old.

Navigation

• Zoom: mouse wheel
• Pan: middle mouse button
• Move an image: Shift + left-drag
• Edit a rip: left-drag its handles

⚠️ Beta

RTR is beta software. It still has bugs, so keep backups of anything you care about.

Please report what you hit: Help > Report an Issue in the app, or open one on GitHub Issues. Reproduction steps are the most useful thing you can give me.

Install

Windows. Download and run ricks-textureripper.exe. SmartScreen will throw a blue "Windows protected your PC" box the first time. Click More info, then Run anyway. To remove this warning, we would require a certificate, which costs more per year than this project makes.

macOS. Open the .dmg and drag the app into Applications. The first launch needs a right-click (or Control-click), then Open, then Open again. A double-click only offers you Cancel. Once is enough.
